November 8, 2009: Day One

Dave and I spent ALL day on planes and in airports and finally arrived in Kona around 3:30pm. We rented a car, drove to the condo (Paniolo Greens), got checked in, put our stuff in the place, and headed out to find food.

We found food at Cafe Pesto - a little restaurant up the coast in Kawaihae. We had Coconut Crusted Calamari, Wild Greens Salads, a Southwestern Pizza (Fresh cilantro pesto, chipotle barbeque chicken, red onions, Big Island goat cheese), and an apple crisp for dessert. Then we rolled back to the condo. This was our official anniversary dinner.
