Spring Break - Lakeside Cemetery

My cousin passed away on March 27th so we headed to Arizona for Spring Break a few days early to attend her funeral.  Dave and the kids had never been to Lakeside, which is where my great-grandparents lived and my mom spent her summers.  I hadn't been for about 10 years so it was nice to go and visit the cemetery.  This is my grandparents' headstone.

We seem to go to cemeteries to visit ancestors a lot.  I hope this doesn't give the kids a complex.

A Night Out - Heidi's Birthday Dinner

The night of my birthday we got babysitters and went to Brio.
The stars aligned and I had most of my closest friends there that night.  Ben was at my 30th birthday at Maggiano's in Virginia!
I have really fun and funny friends and I love them dearly!

March 3, 2012 - Clara's 6th Birthday

Clara and I share a birthday, so we spent part of the day having a friend party!  Our friends, Barbara and Caitlin, were able to come from Seattle to spend our big day with us!

The kids spent some time coloring Strawberry Shortcake pictures.

I made these cupcakes myself!  They are Strawberry Vegan Cupcakes and were oh so good!

The kids also had waffles since it was a Brunch Party.

March 3, 2012 - Heidi's 40th Birthday

 On March 3, 2012 I turned 40.  40!  I don't look it, AT ALL.
Loree, Dave and my mom threw me a party.  Loree's students made these posters to be funny.

Marty made the food - salsa, hummus, chips, fruit, veggies - all of my favorite stuff

Blowing out 40 candles takes a lot of lung power.  Good thing I have it!
