Today is going to be an adventure. It starts off with getting the carpet cleaned in my living room this morning. Then Clara is going to my mom's for the day. Then I head downtown for a very important lunch meeting. Then I pick up the kids and head to a pumpkin patch to go buy two hay bales and a couple of cornstalks. Then I come home and start cleaning and finishing up painting my entryway. Then I take the kids over to the neighbor's house for a haunted house in her basement. Then I do some more painting.
Tomorrow morning I wake up, get the kids ready to go, attend two Halloween parties at two different schools, take the kids to Dave's office to trick or treat, head home to set up a photo booth for the school carnival, attend the school carnival and run one of the games, come home and clean, and collapse.
Saturday morning we signed up to clean the Church and then I have to spend the day getting stuff ready for the evening as we are having some friends over for chili before going out trick or treating.
If I make it to Sunday it will be a miracle and I might need to sleep the entire day.

An Open Apology to Anyone that Enters My House
August launched a major remodeling project. Or should I say projects. Multiple messy projects that will take 100 years to finish. Starting with the office, we are going through and painting, well, everything. Which means 100 years because we are slow at these things. Right now I can open my front door about a foot before it stops dead. It's a good thing we use the garage for exit and entry purposes. That being said, just understand that if you come over to my house for the next 4-6 months, I have no idea what you will encounter. I can't guarantee that it will be clean, organized, or a house of order. In fact, President Julie B. Beck would faint dead away if she opened my front door right now. I'm just sayin' - it's that bad.
Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I'm excited about these projects. I'm excited about the changes that will be made. I'm excited to see what it will look like when it is done. I'm excited that in my head it will be beautiful and organized and when people walk in the door they will ooooh and ahhhh and want to copy me. (Snort) But most of all, I am excited to be excited about home decor and organizing again, because for the past two years my extracurricular world has revolved around work, that one school on the hill, and two callings at Church. Not to mention that whole weight loss journey that has improved of late. And family reunions and travel.
Now that I mention all of these things....what on earth have I gotten myself (and Dave) into?

Brand Spankin' New Office
For the past year and a half I have worked from home on a roll top computer desk with about 15 cubbyholes and not a lot of workspace. Thanks to a decent year, I could afford to buy new office furniture (and use it as a tax write off - bonus!) and it arrived this week. Try not to be green with envy. I'm just sayin'. :P
The problem is that now I just want to be in here non-stop. I have a much better view of the Sudweeks' house. I can even see the Taylors' front door in case they want me to spy on them, too.
But really - I will now be so much more productive and make twice as much money and I'll take all of my blog readers on a cruise. :)
Maybe.
